Discussion on Monitoring and Reporting Performance Against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Bureau of the Budget and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) – Group 5

On Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Policy and Planning Division held a meeting to discuss the monitoring and reporting of performance against KPIs set by the Bureau of the Budget and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) – Group 5. The meeting was facilitated by Ms. Phumphuang Klahan, Head of the Budget Monitoring and Information Section, on behalf of Mr. Sonthaya Charoensiri, Director of the Policy and Planning Division.
The objective of this meeting was to establish guidelines for monitoring, compiling, and reporting performance against KPIs in an accurate and efficient manner. This encompasses 12 KPIs from the Bureau of the Budget and 8 KPIs under "Group 5" (focusing on the production and development of professionals and specialists in specific fields). The discussion also included a review of KPI definitions, calculation methodologies, data sources, and the relevant units responsible for data collection.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the process for monitoring and reporting results via Google Sheets. It was determined that reports for the Bureau of the Budget’s KPIs should be submitted by the 25th of each month, while reports for the Group 5 KPIs are to be submitted by September 25th of each year—ensuring a systematic reporting process supported by clear, verifiable data. It can also be used to support the ongoing monitoring of the university’s performance.
